A GNSS, or Global Navigation Satellite System, is a generic name for a group of artificial satellites that send position and timing data from their high orbits. The GPS, or Global Positioning System, is just one of the many different sets of satellites that can provide such data. We can also provide a sync solution that is based on other GNSS constellations.

The signals from the GPS satellites operate in the “semi-visible” spectrum of the L1 band (1575.42 MHz) with a minimum signal level of -162.0 dBW. With this very low signal strength the GPS antennas and accessories must be designed into your timing solutions in order to effectively amplify the signals required to meet your business requirements.

At Empowered by Optm, we specialize in understanding your network timing needs and supporting your precise, reliable and secure network timing requirements.
